Privacy Policy
Klise is a shared event camera. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. It covers klise.app, operated by Sim Wei Shaun ("Klise", "we", "us").
Who uses Klise
There are two roles. A host creates a roll and may sign in to keep their rolls across devices. A guest joins a roll from a link and never needs an account.
What we collect
- Host account. When you sign in as a host, Firebase Authentication processes your email address and display name (from Google sign-in or an email and password you set).
- Content you add. The photos uploaded to a roll, the roll's name, cover image and settings, and the display name plus optional Instagram handle a guest enters when joining.
- Approximate location. We read a rough region from your IP address (via the ipwho.is service) only to show prices in your local currency. We do not store your IP address.
- Payment details. If you buy a paid roll, payment is handled by our processor, Xendit. We never see or store your card or bank details.
- Basic technical data. Standard browser and device information needed to load and run the page.
Where it is stored
Photos are stored in Google Drive, and roll details in Google Sheets, both through Google Apps Script. Host sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication. These run on Google's infrastructure.
How we use it
To run the shared roll and show each photo to the right people, to display local pricing, to process host payments, and to keep the service working and free of abuse. We do not use your photos to train models, and we do not show you ads.
Who can see the photos
Photos in a roll are visible to people who have the roll's link, according to the host's visibility setting (everyone on the roll, or host only). Anyone the link is shared with can view the roll on those terms, so share it with care.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers that run the service: Google (Firebase, Drive, Sheets), Xendit (payments), and ipwho.is (currency by region). We may disclose information if required by law.
Keeping and deleting data
A host can delete a roll, which removes its photos and details. To delete your host account or ask us to remove data tied to you, email the address below and we will action it within a reasonable time.
Children
Klise is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product grows. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
